... or is that tree just happy to see me?

I noticed these trees early one recent evening as I left a small shop across the road from them. The trees are quite tall, taller than the home they surround, and they appear to be growing around one another in a cluster. I couldn't see all of them since the property was enclosed by a tall fence.
I tried looking for them on the seed site but there are so many.

So is this going to be the start of a pine cone collection?
Plenty of food there for the birds:-)

You are a naughty girl ;>).... but 'um... yeah! (I am wayyyyy too old to even catch the reference!)
It's like it's offering you a gift or something. Odd...
LOL, bet whatever religious fanatics you have in your neighbourhood will be complaining about that! Love it.
Cones, actually, from a type of fir tree, I believe. But a happy fir no doubt!
You have such clever eyes, great captures!
Léia and little Luna
fur trees and those cones are huge .. and quite .. um ... Viagra-ish looking

The pods are very unique on the beautiful tree.

Young pine cones, it would seem.
It is a seed pod that is very happy to see you!...LOL... It is some kind of evergreen with its seed cones, but I don't know what kind. It does seem to have longish needles...hmm.. Now I have to see if I can find out what it is.. Thank you for your comments on my blog...I really appreciate it...hugs...Michelle
They look like pinecones.
You are sooo funny, Dianne! :))
I think it's happy to see you! :)
They look like a pine cone of sorts. There is a conifer near us that is just beginning to produce some too.
I'm quite sure they are happy to see you :)
Enjoy the spring weather, Di!
Spruce tree, hence spruce cones ;) Have lots of those up here, I'll see if I can find out what kind.
