I see someone doing a hand stand
The texture makes me think of an elephant
I adore trees
I willingly confess to so great a partiality for trees as tempts me to respect a man in exact proportion to his respect for them. ~ James Russell Lowell
It doesn't tempt me, I do judge people based on the way they treat nature

I'm with you! I love trees, too! Anyone born in west Texas grows up loving and longing for TREES!!!

It does look like a handstand or elephant...I like the texture..and I do also judge by how people treat nature....thank you for linking up Dianne...Michelle
Definitely looks like someone doing a handstand! LOL LOVE the picture!
I love to take pictures of trees, too. I do mostly dead ones, though. They're so majestic yet sad.
OMG, you're right, it DOES look like someone doing a handstand!!!!
GREAT photo, Dianne!
And I'm with you, I too judge people based on the way they treat nature. And also animals.
Thanks for sharing, dear lady!
X ya!
P.S. I'm a tree hugger....
(((( trees )))))
Now that you mention it. I see the handstander too. :) Love the texture on that tree.
I saw your comment over at my place. I'm fine. I'm around. I just haven't been motivated to post. Taking a little time away from the computer. (What that means is 8-10 hours at work, and a respite when I get home. lol) Thanks for checking on me. :)
Now I see the hand stander. Lol!! Love the quote too. :)
Oh, I LOVE trees, too....There are some fabulous tree trunks around Los Angeles that are truly "living sculpture" (I'll have to get some pictures of them next time I am out for a ride......And, I see exactly what you see with the Elephant Legs...
WONDERFUL, My Dear, Dianne.....
I love trees too. Your shot captured the beauty of the bark.
Reminds ME of elephants, too. And it's a pretty tree, for sure.
I too am with YOU!

LOL, guess you are ENTJ on those inventory things :-)
A short update on that sick kitty. We saw him yesterday but he wouldn't come near so we put down medicated food and walked away - then he ate it. Today he wasn't there so we're worried. We're hoping he's resting somewhere in an attempt to think positive.
Have you ever read A Walk In The Woods by Bill Bryson? If not, I'd strongly recommend it. You'd love it!
A lovely tree it is. I can see the elephantine appearance.
Beautiful capture! I love trees too! Have a great day!
I love trees too, they're so majestic. :)
Well, I know I shouldn't judge other people but I do, and the way they treat nature is part of the criteria.
I love it that you see an elephant. Now that you've poinyrd it out, I see it too.
The drought last year has killed so many of our trees and it is sad having to cut them down. On the other hand, there is a lot of wood to share with our neighbors, many who depend on fireplaces for their main source of winter heat.
I saw an elephant too .. and I have no use for people who abuse nature (and children and animals)
great photo
Me too. Lovely picture.
Oh I feel exactly the same! Beautiful photo!
Oh, me too.
Trees, stars, birds, butterflies-- I love them all and want to see more of them. Give me the natural world to contemplate any day of the week verses politics, and all other manor of human ills that exist. Well when we lived in harmony with nature we were much better off I think.
It is a lovely tree. I like the texture of the bark and the lichens growing on it.
Yes an elephant look alike. I also will stop for trees, or if in a car, stop the car and go back to take a look and a photo if I have my camera. Today we went back to that garden near our home – I spent several happy hours taking pictures of spring blooms and trees.
Me too! I judge them based on how they treat their animals :)
Count me as a tree lover too. I 'collect' giant trees with my camera. Out here in the Pacific Northwest we have some ancient giants. I have found many of them.
I see an elephant doing a headstand!
As much as I love to see the trees with their leaves all out, I think I love taking pictures of them more when they're bare and their branches are exposed as it gives the trees just that much more personality. We've got some great ones here in my neighborhood - I should go on a photo expedition for nekkid trees and do a post. You may have just inspired me ... !
