Enough is Enough is Enough

I don't know what sweet Nemo did to anyone to deserve having this latest weather ClusterF**K named after him.

I'm not all that worried about the snow amounts. If I lived further north or east I would be.
I am worried about the damn wind gusts - hurricane force at the coast they say.
Here in NJ our coast can't take much more.

This is still sitting out there

Although the storm surge is not predicted to be anywhere near as high as Sandy's there is so little left to protect us.

This morning Hope asked if we had enough gasoline for the generator. Even the little ones have become pros.

Then again there are those who wait until the last minute. I went shopping Wednesday for all things storm related. I passed Home Depot last night and it looked like the circus was in town.

What do people do with their shovels from year to year? How could so many need so much?

Right now I'm charging everything I can think of and making sure batteries are where they should be.

I try to have empathy for the utility workers but if power goes out and stays out I may need to beat the crap out of someone.

Then again, look how fragile it all is

I found these photos of Hope during her first snowstorm in 2010, she was 6 months old.

I love her face in the 2nd shot.

It seems to say "Enough."

Stay safe kids

You might think about moving to higher ground and let the coast come to you. I'm about 55 miles inland on the coastal plain and I figure I'll have beachfront property before it's all over with.

I cannot understand why the electricals are not buried underground where the wind etc can't get to it. In the meantime I hope that Hope and you all stay safe. Sending Love. Hugs from Molly also.

Amen! And I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you don't go through what you did during the last storm.

We keep getting mixed reports here. One minute they say we're going to get it bad, then the next they say not so bad. Right now it's just rainy and windy. But not too bad.

Stay safe, dear lady.

Much X and hugs to you and the gang!

P.S. LOVE the photos of Hope! OMG...she is so CUTE! A little snow angel.

Stay safe and warm! Can't believe the storm season we've had this year and yet here in WA it's been an incredible mild, mild winter???? Wet, but mild!

Yes, stay safe and warm. I am enjoying watching the snow, but of course the wind has not kicked up yet. We are prepared for power outages too. Let's hope that doesn't happen again! Hugs to you and your personal snow angel.

You have really had a rough ride in NJ...my brother lives in Island Heights [Tom's River] and a very good friend in Manchester. Hope[ pun intended] you and your loved ones stay warm and safe.

As I was watching the evening news about the storm, I immediately thought of the Sandy victims, because of you. You made it real for me.
Hang on, and good luck.

OMG - Those cheeks!!! What a cute little bug.

Glad you're prepared. Hope the big ugly passes you by and gives you all a much needed break.

Well you sound prepared anyway. I hope it isn't as bad as they are predicting. Here in the UK we are having unusually cold, windy weather, and as we live on the top of the hill, things fall off our roof almost daily. Just last week a tile fell off the roof onto my jeep bonnet. Great.

Stay safe!

Oh, now I am worried about you! I've been watching the weather and it's looking awful. It's going to be good to hear from you next, knowing you and Hope are safe and sound. My thoughts are with you, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything will be all right.

"I try to have empathy for the utility workers but if power goes out and stays out I may need to beat the crap out of someone." Perhaps we all related to this a bit too much. Good luck, good warmth and good safety to your and yours.

I have been thinking of you the past few days Dianne. I think the emergency planning is really so important, and also very wearing. Hang in there and hug Hope for all of us who want you all to stay safe. Gin
