A group of workers were rolling a huge machine with a giant hook on it back and forth between the broken and jagged pieces of dock. As best as I could figure out they were pulling up the large pieces of debris caught under what is left of the docks.
In some of the photos you can see how many boats are still left on the shoreline where they were tossed like toys.
This gull seems to be showing me some of the damage.
Further out the work is going on
Both gulls and people are watching

Thank you for these. I love to see the restoration in progress and I especially like the gulls. I think Molly would love to chase them. Spring is coming.
Nice pictures. That gull in the first one seems almost like a little Vanna from Wheel of Fortune. LOL
Faaaaaaaaaaabulous photos, Dianne!
LOVE the ones of the gulls!
"This gull seems to be showing me some of the damage."
HA! Yes, that's exactly what it looks like he's doing!
Glad to see the restoration in progress.
(((((((( You ))))))
Much X to you and the gang!
It is good to see the rebuilding and, of course, I love the gulls!! Great shots for the day! Hugs to Hope and you!
I'm glad this is happening! We stayed in Alabama one winter after a September hurricane (pre-Katrina, I forget the name of it)..and watched similar reconstruction going on at the beach. There were quite a few construction guys living in the same RV Park we were in. We went back through there a few years later and everything looked good. KNock wood....
It's great to see so much is being repaired. The damage was horrendous.
Hope it's all going well on the Jersey Shore. I haven't been back there since summer, so I haven't seen the devastation of Sandy. Look forward to patronizing my favorite beach spots in the summer.
Love your Gull examining the damage.
I love work. I could watch it for hours.
Is this from Sandy's damage?
Great to see them working on this place. LOVE the lovely Gulls---especially that last one.....(lol)!
Great to see the rebuilding!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Nice to hear about and see some of the rebuilding.
Love the gull pictures!
So much work to be done. I guess if they just keep at it eventually it will start looking like progress.

They do look busy at work on the marina. I love the gull shots! Thanks for sharing, have a happy day!
It's good to see that work is proceeding, even if it might be glacial in scale. It's progress! Love the gull comments! :-0

Great photos! Looks like it's going to be a long, hard slog digging out from this mess, but I'm excited to see what positive things come from this!
The former beauty and usefulness will be restored and enhanced but you will never forget the "before".
It's so nice to see the recovery after the storm damage. Hard times, I know.
It's getting there. :)
it is good to see progress being made after the terrible storm.
those guys are dressed like its spring ... brrrr
but oh so glad to see you have shrugged off the shit and favored us with a post! xoxox
Love your gull shots. And glad to see progress continues.
I am sad to see the damage, but happy that something is being done as I understand some home owners are having trouble with their insurance companies..what a surprise.. thank you for the birthday wishes.. hugs.. Michelle
It sure is a long, ongoing process. The gull images are wonderful. Thanks for sharing the day. I hope you're feeling better than before.
It took a long time to build it, and it takes time to rebuild. It's good to see that wok goes on.
