The big scratching thingie is one of Siren's most favorite nap spots.
Isadora came around
After what seemed like hours of staring Isadora made a move
After what seemed like hours of Isadora sniffing the scratchy thingie and Siren not looking at her ...
... Isadora tempted fate
Neither one of them was pleased with the situation but no one wanted to be the first to move on.
Eventually they both left.
You might notice a stream of drool coming from Siren's mouth. He does get drooly a lot because of his meds but usually he wipes it away. Since Isadora required his full attention he just ignored his drool.

HAHAHAHAHA! Dianne, what a brilliant finish!
Have a wonderful weekend, dear lady!
X to you, Hope, Athena, Siren, and Isadora!
I wonder what's so great about a scratchy thingie? But all you need to make one cat want it is to have another ON it. :-)
Maybe....just maybe, they will learn to share the scratchy thing----Well, I'm an eternal optimist when it comes to Cats.....(lol)
Well ... that seems like the best possible outcome!
It is doubtful Siren would be pleased to be presented to the world as a drooler. I too am on medication and hope never to be caught in such a photographic moment.
Cats are just a little bit nuts.. which is partly what makes them so lovable. Your babies are beautiful.
Funny, my cats favorite place to hang out is next to the toilet in the upstairs bathroom. But I think that's only because that's the farthest away she can get from Tyler when he starts running around the house with his toys ;-)
A Mexican standoff eh? LOL
Your cats are still beautiful and just as charismatic! My mini dachshund and my cat still fight over the scratchy (and holey, and boxey, and chewy) things. http://scottoglesby.com/
cat you have beautiful and interesting!

Hi, Dianne...hope that all is well with you. Love this post as we adopted two kittens some 9 months ago and can really relate to the ways two cats relate! :)
