It was only 6 AM but Chief Denny Do Not Call Me An Indian was already crushing another aspirin into his third vodka and orange juice. It was going to be a long weekend.
The Grand Design Casino and Temple of Doomed Materialistic Mayhem was buzzing with excitement. Just under the surface of the well oiled machine of gaming tables and slot machines there was chaos waiting to erupt. Celebrities were in their midst. Al Albino and Robert DeNearly were shooting the sequel to the hit movie ‘Miss Marble and The Trench Coated Assistant’. This latest production - ‘The Key Thing’ - was going to be another blockbuster. Since it was a holiday weekend the main room, just beyond the golden curtain and over the moat of rainbow fire, was sold out. Thousands of young girls were coming to see the boy band ‘Sound First Principles’ perform songs from their latest album ‘Like What’s That Supposed to Mean?’
Chief D downed his drink and headed out to the lobby. The sunrise bus tour was arriving.

Robert DeNearly! That is magic! I love your story. You are so clever.
Well written. Robert DeNearly. You are one clever woman I tell ya. Poor Chief D sounds like he needs more than one aspirin...6 am...geeze Have a great Memorial Day Weekend :)
Absolutely positively wonderful. Masterful use of the words in a clear concise manner. Have a great week-end. BTW your neighbor dog is neat. I wish Max were like that.
Brilliant. What everyone else said. I really enjoyed this! Sound First Principles is a great band name! And I love Albino and DeNearly. Well done!
Well done! Indeed. One can feel the chaos .
Chief Denny do not call me an Indian? Your talent with names is awesome and very funny.
I have visited many temples of doomed materialism. They are struggling now, but unfortunately will come back.
Human greed is very, very strong.
Have a great Holiday Weekend and say Hi to Nana.
You know if we ate a person or two in Las Vegas who would even notice. All those people all that noise.
You do write well.
I like the way you use the words in your names.
Clever as usual!
"Like What's That supposed to Mean" is my favorite song!! *swoon*
Great job, Dianne, I loved your story! :-)

Al Albino and Robert DeNearly cracked me up. Your really nailed it with the hit album "Like What's that supposed to mean?"
And of course, loved your indictment of the temple of materialistic mayhem.
Hope you have a restful weekend.
Good Job!
Liked your use of the words as names and titles - I'm learning some tricks as I go hopping around from moats to doomed temples.
I don't care what Chiefy's name says...I'm callin' him, "Injun". Cheers Di!!
You are AMAZING! Every time--your Wordzzles are so clever and funny, too....How you think all this up is miraculous! BRAVA, BRAVA!
Sounds like Chief D and I have the same hangover cure! LOL!
Miss Marble....LMAO! :D
Ya know...what amazes me about this, is that you took ONE paragraph and created a complete story with a beginning, middle and end!
And I agree with the others here!
You're a master at words!
Hope you're head cold is all gone and you enjoyed a Happy Memorial Day!
x to you, sweet lady!
Once again you rock the Wordzzle
Umm...BREAST PUMPS!
Looks like Chief D will have full hands today :o)
