AM Talk with Hope and Nana

Hope and I spend a lot of early mornings together. She's accustomed to waking at 6 AM for school so when she has the sniffles or if school is closed she hangs out with me when Mommy leaves for work. Daddy is on the night shift again and doesn't get home until after 8 AM.

Hope and Nana do the morning talk between 6 and 8 AM.

I shot some short videos of our antics - 18 of them to be exact.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

Hope's Uncle Ray aka Toon Man is having surgery tomorrow and she wanted to send out a global message of love as only she can.

I shot this little video the last time I was in charge of the bedtime routine which includes saying goodnight to the cat clock in the kitchen.

Please send out good thoughts and positive karma to Uncle Ray and to his fabulous Missus who is the best caregiver any Toon Man could have.

I have a terrible habit of over explaining things but I'm gonna go with that anyway.

I hate videos that exploit children (or any living creature) who are clearly afraid or upset. It's idiotic and irresponsible. It's the reason I tried so hard to upload videos without using Youtube. I'm not a fan of Youtube unless it's an official channel.

Anyway - I do want to share all of Hope's moods and her growing joys and pains and so we come to her "bad" moods.

She's teething. Nana didn't know that the frozen apple tooth soother wasn't popular anymore. So Hope was a bit annoyed with Nana.

You'll also hear me say/whine "Why?" - I hear my son saying that to her and it stuck in my head. Then my brother mentioned that my son used to say/whine "Why?" when he was Hope's age. So we come full circle.

At the point that the videos ends Hope and Nana went outside and ran around the backyard yelling.

We both felt better.

Hope Makes A Movie

I guess it's no secret that I love taking photos of my granddaughter Hope. Now that she's walking and (kinda) talking I feel the need to capture the action.

I got a Flip Camcorder on September 2nd.

On September 3rd I shot 27 videos.

Don't get scared. I'm only sharing one of them and it's just a little over a minute long.

UPDATE: So uploading directly to the blog didn't work and linking to My Flipshare Channel didn't work so I just gave up and put the video on Youtube.

BUT!!!! Whenever I embed a Youtube video my comments disappear for me and for many others so I put the video in as a ...
