See You On The Radio

If you're anything like me (and of course you're not cause I'm fucked up) then you have long searched for real radio entertainment.

I tried the traditional ...

I tried mobile radio ...

but it sounded just like the radio in the house.

I went to the source and hoped the great radio towers would quench my thirst ...

it was cold, so very cold.

One day while blogging about I discovered ...



It appeared it would be perfect. Listen while I blog. Participate in the chat room. Call in to a live show.

Yet it still wasn't doing it for me. I didn't know any of the show hosts or their listeners. Who wants to work to make new friends?



FINALLY - the wonders that are JAY and MATT-MAN started their own Blog Talk Radio SHOW

Their enthusiasm for fun and frolic are palpable through the Internet tubes. Being a groupie I know they perform the same pre-show warm-up each night ...

I have a renewed relationship with my laptop ...

I can also call in - (661) 244-9852 - and either just listen on the phone or Press 1 and talk to my lovers friends.

And now! Tomorrow night! November 12! I, the slutty foul mouthed heathen articulate lady of the blogging community will be interviewed by Jay and Matt in their first ever Blogger Spotlight episode.

They'll be asking me probing questions until I just can't take it anymore.

What's Happening On The Tubes

There’s always something happening here in these ‘Internet Tubes’ – especially in the BloggerHood.

I’d like to direct your attention to two such happenings that involve 3 of my favorite people.

Every Wednesday Hilary of The Smitten Image submits her picks for ‘Posts of the Week’. She also encourages her readers to recommend posts they feel should be seen or read. Hilary always provides an eclectic mix of photos and poems, whimsy and wit. It’s impossible to visit without finding at least one new blog to love.


Plus Hilary's blog is a joy to behold all on its own any day of the week



Then there are my boys …



Jay and Matt-Man host a show called I’m With Stupid on Blog Talk Radio. Tune in Sunday mornings at 11 AM EST to be entertained. There’s always a current topic and there’s football picks and a live chat room.

And you can call in and be a radio star yourself. I called in last week (show #3) and had a great time schmoozing with my boys.

I'm Smitten

This is the post where I link to some new (to me) blogs that I have discovered. Back when I got rid of the long blog roll on my sidebar I decided this was a better way to acknowledge people.

Of course I don't do it as often as I said I would, that's just part of my charm - you never know what to expect.

Many of the new people I have met have been through a wonderful weekly post from HILARY at The Smitten Image. Post of The Week is published each Wednesday - go ahead, go check it out - I'll wait.



Good stuff eh?

Now here's my problem. I can't remember who I found through HILARY and who I found through DUST BUNNY’S Positive Day and who I found when RON interviewed me. This doesn't concern me much since I also can't remember if I put gas in the car yesterday. By the way - is it who or whom?, I'm from Brooklyn - we weren't allowed to say whom.

I know I found FRANK through Hilary. I'm in love with his dog Benny and equally enthralled with Frank's writing. Check out his latest - trees around the world are talking about it.

I also discovered DS from Hilary. DS is a wonderful writer and she loves cats. What more could we ask for!?

I think Dust Bunny introduced me to STITCH (she laughs that I call her that), Stitch is a lovely soul who also creates some very pretty crafts. She's having a giveaway right now.

I'm pretty sure I found PETRA and PICTURE IMPERFECT because of Ron. Great commentary and fabulous photos.

I just had a thought! Oh yes I did, don't scoff.

Since I don't want to leave anyone out I think you would be best served by checking out Hilary's sidebar. Some great blogs there.

And set aside a few moments each Hump Day to check out Post of The Week.

I'm going to get better at organizing my reading list and keeping track of where I find people.

Actually I doubt I will but it's important to have goals.

A Sunday Shout-Out

I know I said I was going to call it "pimping" but hell, it's Sunday and I'm nothing if not holy.

This is my second shout-out about a blog I like and recommend.

I know ROBIN from the many photo memes that we both participate in. Her photographs are wonderful. She lives in Israel and shares both daily life and bits of history with us. Her blog is aptly titled 'Around the Island' because she has a kitchen to just simply die for. No matter how many times her site opens I always take a moment to be happy for her - if I knew how to do a strikeout that would read - grossly envious.

And since serendipity and perfect timing are so me (along with the holiness) I'm giving this shout-out on the day that Robin is starting her very own photo project - I really hate the word meme.

Robin's new photo project is 'Summer Stock Sunday' - where you can share photos that represent summer to you.

My contribution for the inaugural episode of SSS is this boat speeding out of the Keyport Marina on its way to (I assume) Dah Joisey Shaw (the New Jersey Shore).

It's (really not so) Hard Out Here For A Pimp ...

When I decided to take down (blow up) my blog roll I mentioned that I preferred to give shout outs (I call it pimping cause that’s the way I am) to blogs I enjoy, blogs that entertain or inform, people I have come to care about and places I love to click on.

Well I’ve got someone who fits all that.

My friend Thom (he has an ‘h’ cause he’s hot) has two blogs.

The FIRST covers the world of TV – it’s a great place to find reviews and news and most important for me – when does the new season of Army Wives begin.

His OTHER BLOG is more personal. He posts his WORDZZLE entries there, which is how I met him, and he writes from the heart – as he did so eloquently this past Friday – and he participates in enough fun memes to make my head spin – oh and there’s usually a really good quiz too.

And he’s true to himself while being open minded and thoughtful of others. I discovered that when we butted heads over some political thing I said. Thom recently described me as being so far left he thinks he can see Pluto beside me – I LOVE that and may use it as my epitaph.

So check him out. You won’t be disappointed.

Yesterday was my DIL’s surprise baby shower so be prepared for a scintillating tale of strollers and car seats and breast pumps – Oh My!
