Linda tagged me for my first meme! How do you pronounce meme by the way? And does anyone else find it exhausting to post links? Then again you’re talking to someone who thought html was short for hotmail. Yes – grasshopper has far to go.
But I digress (as usual) - I love this because it has the word "quirk" in it. Quirk is my favorite state of mind.

My 6 Quirks - and I really had to cut the list!
1 - I always make the sign of the cross when passing churches (any religion) or accidents or roadkill.
2 - The milk must go in before the coffee or I'm positive it tastes different.
3 - It secretly hurts my feeling when people leave the second "N" out of my name but I never correct them
4 - Soda must be in a glass (or can) and milk must be in a plastic cup or I can't drink them
5 - I've been doing laundry all my life and still can't fold sheets.
6 - My skin crawls if there are dishes in the sink - I have to wash them immediately

I use to think the same think about HTML.
I had to go look the word meme up last night. The definition (in case anybody wants to know) is: "an idea, behavior, style, or usage that spreads from person to person within a culture." Since I had never heard the word until a few weeks ago, I can't help thinking that meme itself is something of a meem. Oh... and it's pronounced meeem.
Now I wish I had thought of that when I posted my list. I'm a compulsive googler.

When my sister went to England for the first time a few years ago she noticed that THEY put the milk in first, then the coffee or the tea. Ever since then she's decided that it must be done that way everywhere! LOL

Oh Dianne you and I must be of the same breed.....my name....Mary Anne....people often call me Mary...drives me crazy...or they forget the "e" at the end of Anne....and the dishes...yes I have to have them done...laundry...my hubby thinks I am fanatic about laundry....the fitted sheets I haven't really mastered folding those yet...they are a challenge....especially when they are king size....

smalltown rn: I was named after a hurricane (poetic?) and then my Mom, Anne wanted her name in mine so hence the Dianne. funny thing is my Mom dropped the "e" on her name since people never used it.

Oh dear, i have to disagree with jay's sister; English people are divided into 2 groups; those who put the milk in first and those who put it in second. it's a huge cultural divide/class thing!

Wow, the sheet folding escapes me too. I get the crib and twin sheets fine, but I really like the queen sheets to fold up to the same size and it never works out that way....
I don't like drinking water out of glasses-there is some kind of funky smell in some of the glasses that I cannot stand.
Great list and I probably need to add a few more to mine now!
I pretty much gave up on the sheet folding, like Mahala said - they're just a wad and I have accepted that LOL

I have to drink everything with a straw but that's not really a quirk - it's endless dental work. I will have such a beautiful smile at my funeral LOL
