This and That

It's been a busy week.

Navigating snow banks and ice patches is exhausting with a cane and fear of falling. I had appointments every day this week in the never ending quest for disability benefits and medical care.

'Cat to be named later' is going to the vet today. After settling in nicely she isn't eating much and her breath is awful. I'm thinking a tooth might be bad since she's really too young for gum issues. Cross your fingers for us.

I think I have decided what her name is but I want to be sure. Siren will announce it soon.

Meanwhile I leave you with this picture ...

I wonder what this car's story is? Stolen? Left there by a store employee afraid of snow? Parked there to sell it? It does say '95' on the windshield. Perhaps a couple were clearing it and had an argument. Look how one side is so much cleaner than the other. Did the sun do that?

That's all I got for now. Wish us luck at the vet.

Oh poor CTBNL, I hope the vet can set her right. Fingers crossed.

I'd rather wish YOU luck first in getting benefits. OK?

Good luck at the vet, I’m sure it’s fine. My dog and cat both have the worst breath I’ve ever had to endure in my life, and they’re both very healthy!

There is definitely an air of mystery surrounding that car. Could it have been one of Tiger’s mistresses who failed to make it back one night?

First, all the luck I can possibly send for getting your disability benefits.

Hope all goes well with the new kitty.

Best wishes at the vet and hopefully whatever kitty-to-be-named-later isn't serious.

As for the car, I'm going to guess sun-melt on that one side. Whoever owns it probably forgot where they parked it and won't be able to find it until it's completely melted out!

Maybe you could write the story of the car. I miss your quirky stuff.

Hopefully nothing serious is wrong with kitty.

Has anyone checked the truck of that car to see if the owner is in it? I mean, it *IS* New Jersey, after all. haha ;-)

Keeping digits cross for the new kit .. xo

It could be the way the sun shines with the most intensity that melted one side clear. Still, oddly strange since none of the other cars are buried in snow!

Congrats on the new housemate/kitty. Hope all works out (and not expensively) on the tooth/breath issue/s.

Good luck with your ever living healing. :-)

rob - thanks sweetie :)
looks like she has a gum unflammation and a stuffed nose, hopefully the antibiotic shot will clear it all up

micky - thanks :) but I think even all the luck in the world can't fix this system

scott - I doubt any of Tiger's women make it to this part of Jersey ;)

linda - thanks :)

linda - so many lindas!!
around here it wouldn't surprise me if they forgot the car

noe noe - I hope the weekend restores us both and that next week is better

travis - thanks!! I've been trying to work on stories of Nana and a book I started a long time ago which is why I haven't written much here
I think kitty will be fine

jay - trunks are so yesterday! ;)
now it's abandoned construction sites and foreclosed homes. every recession has opportunities ;)

daryl - thanks lady :)

farmers wife - the car was definitely left there thru the storm and beyond, I have to remember to go see if it's still there

iv2 - I think she'll be fine, hopefully all she needed was the antibiotic, thanks :)

Hello Dearest Dianne!

"Cat to be named later"

I LOVED that!!!!!

And I can't wait to hear what Siren comes up with!

OMG...that car looks like it's just been abandoned! 1995? I wonder if it's been sitting there for 15 years - HA!

I hope all went well at the vet today, dear lady!

X to you and the gang!

CTBN is adorable. I wish her good dental health.

With regard to the snow, you have my sympathy -- down here we've had a mere fraction, but nobody wants any more of it. Pretty to look at, but only before it hits ground.

So sorry to hear about Mia. Your new kitty looks lovely. Hope the vet sorts out all problems... It will be nice for Siren to have a friend.

I came across here from Pet Pride, Diane. I am so sorry about your loss. Mia looked like a gorgeous soft and ladylike cat. I LOVE Siren and your new cat. I wait to see what Siren names her. Re your traffic, the drivers should come to Khartoum : there is no road rage, no impatience and the traffic circles have no turn lanes, everyone just waits his turn, lets the other man through whenever possible and viola. Please visit my blog if you wish. I will be back here.

Sometimes you just get to the point where you think, 'Do I really need to use the car, right now? No - I'll walk!'. Off they went, with no regrets, I hope.

Good luck with the new cat!
