Jets Beat Patriots and World Wrestling Goes Cosmic

Before we get to MicroFiction Monday please indulge me for a moment ...

THE JETS BEAT THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Ahhhh - that feels good to say
The yelling has just died down here and the guy next door is running around his backyard shouting "I can't freakin' believe it, I can't freakin' believe it"

I despise the New England Patriots. Bile rises up in my throat just saying their name.
They are cocky and class-less and think far too much of themselves. Don't care about their record. Many teams have been dynasties with grace and class. Not NE.

THANK YOU! MY WONDERFUL BOYS - I ADORE YOU

I now return you to our regularly scheduled post ...

My 137 character (that was close) entry for Micro-Fiction Monday

“As these birds bear witness I swear I shall kill you with my parasol”
“Hey fat boy! Is that your sword or are you just happy to kill me?”

It sure was an incredible weekend of football. Who would have thunk that the Jets would come out on top? Crazy!

Here's looking forward to the Jets / Steelers game next week!

And chances are, with his luck, that after it is all over those birds will lie. :) XD

I liked both teams. I lived in New Hampshire for three years and would visit Boston quite regularly. There wasn't pro football back in those days but I did see a few Red Socks games.

Ok, I'm still laughing!
Sure didn't expect it!

Congratulations to you and your Jets! Here in Seattle, where we lost today to the Bears, we hate the Steelers, so I sure will be rooting for your team next week!

Bwhahahahahahhahaha!

X ya bunches!

To be perfectly honest I really could not give a rat's rump about any team when it comes to football ... or too many other sports for that matter! I used to like the 49ers back in the day but that day was a long, long time ago!

Love your Microfiction Monday entry - perfect!

Death by parasol sounds painful!

My husband was glued to the set most of the weekend, even sneaking peeks during my daughter's meet tonight. I like your first one best, but your second is truly original-LOL!

This morning I was thinking that I was going to actually root for the Patriots cause I was tired of the Jets running their yaps. It took about 3 tweets from Patriot fans to remind why I can't root for them.

What are these dudes doing wandering about barefoot in the flowers with a parasol? :)

Maria@BubblegumandDuctTape said...

oh they are taunting each other now, there will be blood, lol. Very funny, goes well with the picture.

Are there still teams playing football? When the Rams quit I thought it was all over.

Love the microfiction as always - totally flummoxed by the sports reference!

Karen said...

Well, kudos to you & your Jets (that's who my son was rooting for!)!! :> I'm a die hard Seahawks fan......next year! :>

Enjoyed your mM, the taunting goes perfectly with the playoff weekend!

Ha - they're all talk, aren't they? Shouting insults like schoolboys. What is it they say? The only difference between men and boys is the price of their...er, weapons? LOL Nice job.

Bravado and insults - a good mix for any fight ;-)

Dear Boycott

I don't believe in censorship so I'm not going to delete your comment
I will say that normally comments are restricted to the topic of the post, not to blind self promotion
I will also remark that anyone who thinks they can or should boycott a human being clearly thinks of them as things and not people and that may explain the start of all your troubles
I won't visit your blog, but good luck to you and I wish you a happier future

For everyone else - thanks for the fun comments, I'm on my way to visit all of you

Peace

Being a Dolfan, I am not wild about either team as we share the same division. That said, I was watching and kept thinking, I'll bet Dianne is over the moon and I am so happy for her.
I'm still thinking "next year."

You bossy American woman, you. I don't believe in censorship, either, but in "good editing." :)

Was a great game (this from a Giants fan), but I would love the Jets to keep their mouths shut this week and just play...

I knew, as soon as I saw the title to this post, that it was from you! I had momentarily forgotten that you are the big, big Jets fan that you are but it all came back to me when I saw the title. (Good taste, by the way, Dianne!)I know of what you speak about teams and class and such -as well as extreme dislike -and for me, that team is those miserable Cowboys! However, the next game in the series is gonna pit your team against one of my favorites -that big Steel Curtain, ya know. May the best time emerge victorious. (Kind of sucks that I do like the Jets too so have to chose ya know and when I have to do that, well gotta stick with the home boys.)

Reb said...

I thought it was the Jets & the Sharks.... 'when you're a Jet, you're a Jet' oh, wait....

Great drawing and I love your lines.

Ken said...

Ouch! Your forgiven though, because I'm not a diehard fan.
But them Boston fans, as course as they can be, are a force to be reckoned with.
If your good, and everybody knows it, "I" think it's OK to SHOUT IT!

Hope your feeling better.

It looks like we are mortal enemies pitted against one another until death. Or at least until next Sunday night.

GO STEELERS!

I still love you though. Even though you are my mortal enemy and all.
