Siren Reports On Cat Chaos

Hi everyone, it's me - Siren. Up here, follow the sound of my voice. I'm up on top of the high forbidden place. I just had to get away and re-discover my center - my Zen like aura has been disturbed for a week now.

Isadora had dental surgery last Monday and Tuesday. Mom says she is now toothless white trash. They had to take all her back teeth out and do something disgusting to her gums because she has an auto-immune disease and it makes her inflamed.

I feel for her.

No, really I do. She was kinda miserable when she first came home but each time Mom wrestled with her and put the magic dropper in her mouth she got better.

See - look how stoned she is!

Maybe if I was stoned too all this disruption wouldn't bother me so much. I know Mom sneaks some chopped pill into my food before we have to go to the vet but I fight it.

A guy has to maintain control.

Anyway - back to the disruption. Iza has to eat special food and it's all over the place because she is being difficult. And her dry food has to be moistened - have you ever seen moistened dry food!? It looks like the poop that comes out of those hairless two legged creatures that cry and scream and live on the other side of the door.

And she smells funky. One of the many things that makes me superior to other furry critters is that my sense of smell is 35 times stronger than a human. 35 times! Just stop and imagine that for a moment.

How would you like to be followed around by a stoned, drooling, toothless bother who smells like that horrible vet place - all medicine and steel tables and newspaper shoved in cages. And other animals! Lordy - she smells like dog.

And she just won't leave me alone

Mom has to put things all over the furniture because she drools and spits out her food.

And look at her leg. What the hell did they do to her? I am concerned that they planted something in there and now they are monitoring me. I have secrets that are best left alone.

Come closer ...

Closer ...

I will only say this once. I missed her. And I was worried about her. I will try to be kind.

But I won't promise anything.

Poor Isadora, I want you to start sending her some love. It is hard to have something wrong with your teeth and gums. Be nice to her, for me, please.

Siren, you are a lovely cat and I am proud that you are worried about your house mate. Do your best to be kind. I am very glad to hear that Iza made it through the surgery, but I am sorry that she is having such trouble eating.

Poor baby! Isadora's stoned eyes just cracked me up though. And that poor shaved paw. Isn't their skin so incredibly soft where they're shaved?

I give my cats moistened dry food every day. It's the only way I know they're getting enough water to keep them from getting recurring UTIs. It's worked well so far and now they don't even care for their dry food without water.

I hope Iza heals well and regains her interest in the food. Beautiful Siren, look after your baby sister.

I've got Zephyr on my post for today. You might find a bit of a resemblance between him and your dear, departed Mia.

What beautiful emerald eyes you have, Siren! You certainly do have a sense of humor talking about your sibling. I hope she's better soon and stops smelling so awful! 35 times: thinking about that!

The stoned photo is a riot!
So sorry for all her troubles, but she has a sweet brother and I think he'll do his best to be a good boy.

You're cats have the most gorgeous eyes. I love the stoned photos. Sorry to hear the poor baby has to live toothlessly but we adjust. My boyfriend had a cat that was bit by a snake and left her paralized in the hind legs. She lived several more years in a diaper dragging herself around with her front legs. She was a happy kitty.

Cats can be altruistic. Ish. You know, if it's in their best interests....

So sorry Isadora is going through a rough patch. Hope everybody's feeling back into sorts soon. :)

Poor Isadora. We're purring for her to get better ASAP. Is she FIV positive too?

Thanks for the purrs sent in our direction. Au ate again so we're hoping he's on an upswing. We really appreciate your support.

Ya know, Siren, I had a feeling that under that tough cat exterior you were showing that you were concerned about Iza all along.

I hope she's feeling better soon so that you can relax a bit, too!

Siren-
It takes a "big" cat to admit that you missed your sister during her ordeal. Now quit running away and let her drool on you . . . .
