Getting Rusty

I see interesting and unique beauty in old weathered rusty things (I tell my face that every morning) and so I share with you these shots of what I consider a form of rustic beauty ...

I took out my usual brand of witty, exceptionally clever captions. Sometimes it's better to see what you see without any distraction. I will say that I see fire and ocean and worms and mountains, just to name a few.

nice shots. I like rusty things too. in fact, I plan on mounting some of my cast glass on rusted steel.

Some are quite lovely, and others look just, well, rusty!

I'm always trying to keep rust at bay so I admire those who see it as beautiful rather than challenging:-)

I love your Dear Charlie post. I've been watching bits and pieces of his antics and it's a combination of sad, entertaining, and pitiful. I'm wondering how far his bottom is. but I digress. I'm really liking your rust images. we spot a whole lot when we look for it! I love the gate top just up from the last, but they're each pretty remarkable. I hope you have a beautiful weekend Dianne!

HAHAHAHAAHHAHAA! OMG, you are so funny! Yeah, I tell my face that every morning too!

I'm with you, Dianne....I see interesting and unique beauty in old weathered rusty things. There's a rawness to them. And oddly enough, a strength. They tell a story. That's why I love old cities.

Gorgeous photos! LOVE the chains!

Have a wonderful weekend, dear lady!

X to you and the gang!

Those are lovely Dianne, I like how the rust forms different patterns and on the 7th photo really makes the post look bluer than it probably is.

Great shots Dianne but I particularly love the last one of the chains.

An exciting collection of colours and textures - the last one is scrumptious, and the fifth one down - yum!

Yeah, I saw the ocean, and the fire--and the worms. Yuck to the worms. Hurrah to everything else!

These shots are amazing Dianne, you have some wicked talent with the camera and it seems to be improving weekly.

I wanted to let you know that I’m back and in Florida! (Just in case you need a good connection to stupidity down here.)

Great motif! I love the close-up of the stained wall. reminds me of album cover Nine Inch Nails' 'The Downward Spiral'!
